Our Team

Dedicated to supporting corporate employees and their families

Vasundhara Ketkar, Esq.

I am a first-generation immigrant to the United States. In fact, my initial introduction to the U.S. was through the immigration process when I applied for an H-4 visa to join my spouse in the U.S. My spouse and I went through employment-based green card sponsorship, so I first experienced the I-485 process as an applicant. Later, I became a naturalized U.S. citizen.

Before immigrating to the U.S., I worked at a major software company in India as a corporate lawyer. I was awarded an LLM by Thomas Cooley Law School in Michigan in 2011, a prerequisite to sitting for the bar exam for anyone with a foreign legal degree. I have since been admitted to both the New York and Michigan Bars.

Prior to joining the Law Office of Leila Freijy in 2022, I gained several years of experience in U.S. employment- and family-based immigration law at another Michigan law firm.

I have represented hundreds of individual clients in obtaining immigration benefits in the United States. My practice areas include non-immigrant visas such as H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, and B-2 as well as PERM labor certifications, I-130 and I-140 immigrant petitions, permanent residence processing and citizenship.

I am fluent in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
